Siren Song

When I first got started, I didn't know much. I sold originals without making copies. But I did invest in professional photos of some of my earlier works when I could afford it. I've decided to make prints of some of my favorites. Siren Song is one of my earliest and largest pieces from my days of mixed media. Here I used color pencils and pen and ink. It was inspired by research I did in my youth into fantastical creatures. Mermaids in some old tales lured unwary sailors with their beautiful songs and glamours onto rocks to sink their ships. I gave this trio of temptresses a not quite human look that would fool their prey from a distance. And if you look closely, the ladies' eyes betray their true intent. This is a numbered print run of 25.
