Queen Mother

My interpretation of Ramonda, the Queen Mother of Wakanda in the movie Black Panther. Done in pencil on smooth Brisol, it is part of a series I am doing of the Women of Wakanda. The basket weave of her crown was the biggest challenge and the most satisfying part of this work as it took shape over time.
